OF ACTION
Once ejaculated semen begins to undergo a series of degenerative processes which lead to loss of motility, damage of the acrosome and decondensation of chromatin. To avoid these problems, EoBOS contains a supply of the highest quality sugars, buffers capable of maintaining the pH within the physiological range of sperm cells and EoBOS also contains chelating agents for maintaining the integrity of these cells.
TOXICITY
EoBOS is a cell culture medium specifically prepared for the preservation of boar sperm. Sperm cells get membrane stability and the compounds necessary for energy-intake and other metabolic processes. Once introduced into the reproductive tract of the sow it favours the transport of sperm and fertilization of the ovocite. EoBOS is totally innocuous towards the structures of the female genital tract with which it comes into contact.
